Snow White and her Groom

Snow White and her Groom – this image was taken at Farington Lodge during the frequently lousy weather we had over the winter months of early 2013. In fact this was taken on the 22nd April. Due to the frequent snow showers that had taken place throughout the year up until this point, I had the distinct impression that Kerry would be disappointed if there

Montego Bay. The most amiable bunch of folks I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with in quite a while. A little off the wall, and all very different, and all so very, very talented. I first met them in October 2012 when I photographed the Captive Music live final, held in Preston’s 53 Degrees club. I’m not a fan of live music. It’s loud!

Fashion Photography in Lancashire

This was for an advertising campaign for Out of the City, in what was rather dismal weather. The poor weather conditions were capitalised on to give them a unique image for their campaign. The idea was to head the campaign with the slogan “Should have gone to Out of the City”, similar to that spectacle ad. The idea being the young couple went out for

Wedding Photography at Ribby Hall, Wrea Green

Meet Teerisara and Uladzimir, on a rather cold and damp October day at Ribby Hall in Wrea Green. This was actually the last shot of the day and I’m happy with the result. We’d already sauntered through the ground taking images near trees and elevated wooden buildings, and all to good effect. However, the last image was to be taken in front of the fountain, with

A wedding in the Rain

I remember a time when all my brides wanted sunny days, or at the very least, it had to be dry. Now? Well, I seem to predominantly have brides who want stormy looking skies and darker days. They want something different for their album, something memorable. Paula and Craig were no different; the day swung from sunshine in the morning, through stormy skies mid afternoon,

Location Fashion Shoot – Part 2

This is part two of an extensive fashion shoot for Lencarta. The first part of the shoot was done in an open grassy area with a couple of short trees, and can be found here. This second part of the day was shot on an elevated wooden platform, looking over a dense foliage, consisting of nettles, ferns and other items that cause damage. None of

The Bridal Arch at the Dunkenhalgh

I love weddings. The people, the atmosphere, the day. It’s all good! My favourite bit? Well that has to be the informal bridal portrait session between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. It’s a bit of a dead time as far as the bride and groom are concerned, and the opportunity to escape their relatives for 45 minutes tends to be very appealing 🙂

Location Fashion Shoot

This particular shoot was for a number of clients of the Live Ribble Valley magazine. They included Out of the City, Ken Varey, Charles Campbell Bespoke and the restaurant The Sirloin. The day wasn’t particularly the best, from a weather point of view, but none the less, once organised, we had to get something, come what may!

Lencarta Mach 1N Transceivers in use

This is the promo video for the Lencarta Mach 1N Transceivers. Shot near the studio, in a local children's playground. The images from the day and an explanation of settings etc. can be found here. Many thanks to Matins Arbidans for his time and effort on the day. The guy really can leap over tall buildings! Thanks must also go to Marmalade Toast who produced the video.
