This was an extensive fashion shoot for Lencarta, with the aim of showing the flexibility of the Safari Li-on location lighting kit. The day was basically split into three distinct locations and looks. The first was an open grassy area, with a couple of short trees providing an ideal framed area. I love weddings. The people, the atmosphere, the day. It’s all good! My favourite bit? Well that has to be the informal bridal portrait session between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. It’s a bit of a dead time as far as the bride and groom are concerned, and the opportunity to escape their relatives for 45 minutes tends to be very appealing 🙂
This particular shoot was for a number of clients of the Live Ribble Valley magazine. They included Out of the City, Ken Varey, Charles Campbell Bespoke and the restaurant The Sirloin. The day wasn’t particularly the best, from a weather point of view, but none the less, once organised, we had to get something, come what may!

This was a “proof of concept” shoot for Rachel Mason (Dare to be Different), working alongside Annie Cabasa and model, Kayleigh Jo Daffern. And the concept? It was part of the Pendle 400 year commemoration of the original Pendle Witch Trials. The makeup and styling were an initial test for the girls taking part in the Pendle Imp Fest.

There are times when I photograph a bride and groom during the informal portrait session, when their caharacter really comes to the fore. Laura and Matt certainly fit into this category, and I enjoyed every minute of their company.
A good friend of mine, Rachel Mason of Dare to be Different, asked if I would photograph Sarah, a friend of Rachel’s who also worked in her salon. Sarah has a great interest in all things dark. Vampires, horror and anything macabre. I felt the shoot should reflect this side of her chracter.
