This was an assignment for Toy Box Live, a new company launching over Christmas 2011. Simple idea really, and particularly relevant in today’s economic climate………… Toy rental!
Vehicle Photography in Preston, Lancashire
This was a very straightforward brief for the Live Magazine group. Just some basic images to go with a road test of the latest incarnation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I don’t do basic. If I’m asked to photograph an item, be it a simple box or a brand new car, I will give each the attention they deserve.
Commercial Location Photography – Blackburn
I have to say, I do like vehicle photography. Possibly a tug from my younger days perhaps, but all the same, it’s always enjoyable. There can be a number of challenges, such as reflection on the paintwork, chrome or glass. In fact, there tends to be little on a vehicle that won’t reflect!
Helicopter Location Assignment, Preston
It’s nice when you can combine an assignment for a number of clients. Saves them money and time. The above image is the final version and the look I had in mind when I shot it. It was a rather overcast day and threatened rain for most of it, to the point we would occasionally get a smattering of rain drops and consider packing up,
Vehicle Photography in Lancashire
The above image was part of a test shoot for a photographer who wanted to try the Lencarta Safari in a situation relevant to him. He’s based in Yorkshire, and intends to shoot vehicles with a great deal of control of the lighting. Most of the vehicles involved are likely to be customised, so the lighting and therefore the control of it, is absolutely paramount.
Team Captain
This was a commercial shoot for the Rocket Centre in Blackburn. ok, so it’s not a product shot as such, although the portfolio was to show the team members along with their bikes. This is Lee Buck, the team captain, giving his best “serious” look.
LamboGenie Promotion Evening
Saturday the 19th September, and LamboGenie (the parent company of Lotus Car Hire) were holding a promotional evening to showcase the various companies and their abilities. Following on from the track day, I was asked to photograph this event. The remit was very simple, “Make us look good!” Hmmm, ok.
